The establishment of Committees is a requirement under Articles 7.4 and 7.6 of the RERA Constitution. The main purpose of the Committees is to spearhead the implementation of regional regulatory programmes, project and activities to achieve RERA’s objectives. The Portfolio Committees are made up of Subcommittees. Subcommittees can be described as the foundation or engine rooms of the Portfolio Committees in executing the annual business plans. The Portfolio Committees are required to report regularly on their activities and to make recommendations to the Executive Committee (ExCo).

In line with the stated Constitutional requirement, RERA has established the Committees to implements its regional programmes as shown below. Member Regulators are entitled to membership on each of the Committees.
