Notification Of Cancellation Of The Consultancy Service: Development Of The Energy Information And Database Management System Database (EIDBMS)

In accordance with Bank’s policies and procedures as detailed in the African Development Bank’s Procurement Framework dated 2015”, which is available on the Bank’s website at: https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement/new-procurement-policy , please note the decision to cancel the procurement process for the Request for Expression of Interest referenced above by the Regional Electricity Regulators Association of Southern Africa
(RERA).
As a reminder, RERA had issued a Request for Expression of Interest on 16th January 2023 to carry out consultancy services for the Development of The Energy Information and Database Management System Database (EIDBMS). The deadline is due on 07th February 2024.
The objective of the assignment is to develop a centralised database management system that will provide a platform to collect, store and disseminate regulatory and other relevant energy information from the SADC Member States. The cancellation decision stems from changes in the project delivery modalities.
